Conserving Eswatini's Natural and Cultural Heritage
Eswatini National Trust Commission

Our logo is adapted from a painting by Phillip Dlamini, 1998, of a purple crested turaco. In traditional Swazi dress, the red feathers feature in the royal headdress, so this bird illustration is not only a symbol for wildlife conservation, but also of cultural heritage.

Eswatini's Endemic Fauna

Animals found only in Eswatini include one species of vertebrate, one spider, two species of centipede, two species of millipede and 19 species of insects. It is possible that with further investigation, these species might be found in adjacent areas of South Africa or Mozambique. Many groups of invertebrate have not been well studied yet, and additional species found only in Eswatini might be described.
