Ozoroa paniculosa var. paniculosa    (Common Resin Tree)
     Necklaces. Fruit used as apron dye by Zulus.
Ozoroa sphaerocarpa    (Bastard Currant Tree)  imfuce-lemnyama,
     Necklaces
Panicum deustum    (Reed Panicum)
     Grass mats.
Pappea capensis    (Jacket Plum)  lilatsa,  umkhunu,
     Seeds yield a heavy oil. Used for soap and lubrication.
Paspalum urvillei *   (Vasey Grass)
     Old inflorescences used for whisk brooms.
Passerina filiformis subsp. filiformis    (Brown Gonna)  unwele oluncane,
     Very strong fibre from bark.
Peddiea africana    (Green Flower Tree)  intfocwane,
     Bark fibre for ropes.
Peltophorum africanum    (African Wattle)  isikhabakhombe,  lisikhabakhombe,  mahabiya,  mashubane,  mphunganko,  mphungankomo,  umkhabamkhombe,
     Handicrafts, carving, utensils.
Philenoptera violacea    (Apple-leaf Tree)  isihomohomo,  sihhomuhhomu,  sihomuhomu,  umhomuhomu,  umphandvo,
     Carving & tool hamdles.
Phoenix reclinata    (Wild Date Palm)  isundu,  lilala,  lisundvu,  lusundvu,
     Leaves for basketry, weaving & sunhats. Stems for brooms & brushes.
Phragmites australis    (Common Reed)  lishane,  umklanga,
     Basketry. Making flutes - umntjingozi. In olden days whipsticks.

Phytolacca octandra    (Forest Inkberry)  umnanja,  umnyandla,
     Ripe fruit has been used as a source of ink.

     Fruits used as substitute for soap. Bark fibre used for string & rope.
Plectranthus ciliatus    (Speckled Spur-flower)  umsuthuza,
     Used for washing clothes.
Plectranthus neochilus    (Lobster Flower)
     An air purifier.
