Ammocharis coranica    (Ground Lily)  icukudo,  incukudwane,  isidiya,  umbhodiya,
     Bulb for paste to waterproof pots. Men's head rings.
Apodytes dimidiata subsp. dimidiata    (White Pear)  umdzagane,  umdzakane,
     Wood for engraving, handicrafts, furniture & cattle yokes.
Aristida congesta    (Three-awn Grass)
     Thatching
Aristida junciformis    (Three-awn Grass)
     Used to make brooms.
Arundinella nepalensis    (River Grass)
     Thatching
Arundo donax *   (Giant Reed)
     Used for mats & used worldwide for musical woodwind instruments.
Ascolepis capensis     inkhokabovu,  lubote,  lubuti,  lubuzi,  sidzayi,  umdzayana,  umuzi,
     Beer strainers & mats
Asparagus virgatus    (Broom Asparagus)  umshanveto,
     Crafts
Athrixia phylicoides    (Zulu Tea)  sephomolo,
     Brooms
Balanites maughamii subsp. maughamii    (Torchwood)  liphambo,  umnulu,  umnunu,  umnununu,
     Tool handles & crafts. Seeds yield a tastelees, colorless oil which burns with a bright flame. The kernels can be used as torches.

     Wood can be used for furniture.

Berkheya setifera    (Buffalo-tongue Berkheya)  lulwimi lwenkhomo,  mavambuka,  ulimi-lwenkomo,
     Leaves used as hairbrush.

     Furniture and handicrafts.
Boophone disticha    (Bushman Poison Bulb)  incumbe,  siphahluka,
     Sour-milk plugs. Decorative body ornaments.
Boscia albitrunca    (Shepherd's Tree)  ingwavuma,  ingwavuma-lensikati,  ingwayuma,  umphitsi,
     Tough, durable wood use for household utensils. Spoons & bowls.
Brachylaena discolor    (Coast Silver Oak)  mhlume,  umhlume,  umphahla,  umphahlo,
     Spears & for carving purposes.
Brachylaena ilicifolia    (Small Bitter Leaf)  umphahla,
     Spears & for carving purposes.
Breonadia salicina    (African Teak)  thlume,  umhlume,
     Wood for furniture & boats.
