Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Cassytha filiformis - Winding herbaceous parasite. Stems slender, hairless, c 1—2 mm diam, yellowish, sometimes tinged with green, attached to host plant (or to itself) by short disc-like suckers. Leaves vestigial scales. Flowers minute. Fruits translucent pink, spherical, c 5 mm diam, crowned by remains of perianth and style.
