Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Maerua rosmarinoides - Distinctive shrub or small tree, densely branched, copiously leafy, hairless throughout. Leaf-stalk c 1,5 cm long, leaflets three, each with its own very short stalk, middle leaflet rather longer than laterals, c 6 cm long x 3 mm wide, tipped with minute point. Flowers mostly in short clusters at end of slender axillary shoots. Sepals c 1 cm long; stamens several, white, c 1,5 cm long; fruit on stalk c 2,5 cm long, irregularly oval, e 2 cm long x 1 cm diam, smooth.
