Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Dolichos trilobus - Slender, trailing, almost hairless when mature. Leaves widely spaced; stalk c 3 cm long. Terminal leaflet with stalk 1 cm long, blade with three broad lobes, c 3 cm long x 2,5 cm wide; laterals about same size, bulging at edges. Flower solitary, axillary, stalk c 1,5 cm long; calyx c 5 mm long, slightly hairy, lobes pointed; corolla c 1,3 cm long, purple.
