Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Polygala africana - Very slender annual up to 15 cm high, erectly branched, hairless. Leaves few, less than 5 mm long x 1 mm wide. Flowers in dense terminal spikes, 1,5 mm long, magenta; fruit spherical, minutely bristly.
