Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Acalypha indica - Tall, erect, annual, up to c 1 m high, thinly and finely hairy throughout. Leaf-stalk up to 7 cm long; blade broadly oval, widest just below middle, margins shortly toothed, c 8 cm long x 5 cm wide. Inflorescences all lateral, few cm long, bracts prominent, leaf-like, toothed; male flowers very small, along slender end of axis; female flowers few, at base.
