Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Corchorus confusus - Slightly woody; bristly-hairy in almost all parts. Lower leaves wit stalk c 1 cm long, blade more or less rounded, irregularly lobed and toothed; blades of upper leaves lance-shaped, pointed, c 4 cm long x 1 cm wide; leaves of intermediate shape in between. Inflorescences of about three flowers, stalk c 5 mm long; petals broad, c 8 mm long, about equalling sepals. Fruit shortly bristly.
