Nothing is known about the rates of utilisation in Swaziland, and distributions from herbarium collections in Swaziland could not be confirmed.
Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Chlorocodon whytei - Tall climber. Leaf-stalk c 5 cm long, blade up to 15 cm long x 10 cm wide, rounded or heart-shaped at base, downy; leaf-bases connected by toothed frill. Inflorescence lateral, up to 15 cm long; sepals c 5 mm long x 3 mm wide; corolla five-lobed nearly to base, purple; corona lobes five, fleshy, white with spreading purple projection, up to 5 mm long; stamens anstng from base of corolla, anther-tips uniting in cone, pollen granular; fruit-halves up to 10 cm long x 3 cm wide, spreading, seeds flattened with apical tuft of hairs.
