Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Becium knyanum - Irregular branching shrublet, slightly downy throughout. Leaf stalk c 3 mm long, blade lance-shaped or narrow-oval, margins mostly distinctly toothed, up to 3 cm long x 1 cm wide. Inflorescences with few well-spaced clusters of 1-3 almost stalkless flowers in each axillary group. Calyx appearing mealy but not woolly, wide open, c 3 mm long, enlarging much in fruit, often with minute teeth along edge of lower lip; corolla wide-mouthed, c 8 mm long, mauve or white.
