Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Lobelia patula var. pteropoda - Straggling, shortly hairy throughout. Leaf-stalk c 1 cm long, not winged; blade triangular, margins with few rather large blunt teeth, up to 2 cm long and nearly as broad. Shoot ends in very long, slender, sinuous axis bearing numerous well spaced flowers. Flower-stalk c 4 mm long. Calyx c 4 mm long, teeth very narrow, pointed; corolla mauve, c 7 mm long, slightly hairy.
