Description (Compton's Flora of Swaziland*):
Eriocaulon abyssinicum - Tufted, less than 10 cm high. Leaves represented by their transparent bases only. Stems thread-like, c 5 cm long at time of flowering, doubling in length later. Jnflorescence with few broad scaly basal bracts, oval or rounded, about 3 mm long and wide. Flowers numerous, very small.
