Clivia miniata - Leaves many, evergreen, 40—50 cm long x 5—6,5 cm wide, strap-shaped, pointed, hairless. Flowering axis compressed, two-edged. Inflorescence an umbel of 10—20 flowers. Spathes two, membranous. Perianth divided to near base, tube c 5 mm long, segments spreading. 5—7 cm long, blunt, narrowed to base, bright red. Ovary 5—6 mm long, three-angled. Fruit fleshy, bright red, c I ,5 cm diam. Seeds one or few.
